Keeping the Orphange running is not easy. There is no government funding and the orphanage relies on good people like yourself to help out. There are many significant ways in which you can help.
- Sponsor a child
- Contribute or raise additional financial support needed for the establishment and operation of the orphanage and related program and facilities.
- Organize and send gift to the kids.
- Volunteers to work at one of your projects for several months or longer.
Volunteer
You can help by coming to the orphange and volunteering. If you are interested then please contact Village Volunteers. I went with them, and they are great people. You can also donate money through them.
How your donations can help:
$20 a month will help provide food to an orphan.
$30 buys medical supplies.
$40 a year provides a child with his/her primary school needs (uniform, exam papers, books and shoes)
$100 a month provides basic and educational needs for a child through child sponsorship.
$300 or more can buy constructional materials.
Your kind support and donations not only change the children to have better life and achieving goals of the home but also allows us the possibility to look ahead to other projects that will help in sustaining and supporting the aims of the orphanage.
Making a donation...
You can make a donation through my Paypal account and I can personally assure you that 100% of the money will get to the orphange. I take no comission, there are no "admin" fees, and I pay the bank transfer fee (because I will pay the fee for my own donations...)
Make a donation through Paypal using the email charity{at}sandercoe.com (replace the {a} with the @ - it's spam protection!).
If you are skeptical about me - please check out www.justinguitar.com where you can see me - and see my blog to see pix with them!
Direct to the orphanage
Gift can also be sent directly to the orphanage - but please contact the Program Director in advance (see below) to make sure your donation is appropriate!

A personal message from the Program Director
I am extremely enthused by this rare opportunity to introduce myself as a program director of a non-profit making organization called Ryvanz-Mia Orphanage and extend my warmest invitation to you to partake in a voluntary based activity in our beloved peaceful country Ghana-the gateway to Africa. We aim at caring and supporting orphans, child education and vocational training.
This message among other things seeks to assure you of a memorable, eventful and mutually rewarding trip full of excitement and cultural intermingling. Your visit will afford you the opportunity to actually relish Ghanaian hospitality as you work with cross-section of people with varied intra-cultural backgrounds imbued with a high sense of humour and cavity and also visit some of the cultural tourist sites.
Furthermore, being a true Ghanaian and a graduate well disposed, I want to assure you that no stone will be left unturned to ensure your safety and satisfactory adjustment to the countryside life so as to make your stay in Ghana a great success and a joyous one.
Your arrival in the country will be greeted at the airport with a village volunteer sign and a big hug which at our side of the country we literally called AKWAABA, WOEZOR etc. I am prepared to put our services at your disposal to make your trip thrilling and memorable. It is my candid hope that your volunteering, visit and participation will bring some expertise and change on the orphanage which seeks to provide a beckon of hope for the “despaired”.
Once again you stand no risk when visiting Ghana most especially on a prudent mission of this kind. A hearty welcome awaits you here in Ghana. Hope to meet you soon for your volunteerism to contribute. Join us today without delay. Thanks.
